Coln Valley Shorthorns is a herd of pedigree Beef Shorthorns located in the Cotswold Hills consisting of about 40 breeding females.

We produce high quality breeding stock for pedigree and commercial beef producers. We sell privately and at major pedigree sales.

Breeding stock is normally available and visitors are welcome by appointment.

Coln Valley will be having a busy show and sale season this year. We have started the year well Coln Valley Aladdin (picture left) wins Top Price for a Beef Shorthorn Bull at the Society's February Perth Bull Sales 2009.

Coln Valley Admiral becomes overall Breed Champion at the Society's Carlisle Sale on 22nd May and will be going to Perth this October. Our visit to the Bath and West Show on the 28th May proved fruitful too - our young heifer Coln Valley Broadhooks B1 became Supreme Breed Champion. And our bull Coln Valley Aristocrat was Bull Champion. We also won the Group of Three class including our young bull Coln Valley Bonaparte. Bonaparte and Bruno (will be at the Royal and Great Yorkshire) are for sale along with Bombardier and Bogart - see bulls for sale.

We also have various bulling heifers and cows with calves for sale.

I will be moving the rest of the herd (except the bulls for sale and showing) to Scotland in July so any interested parties should contact me as soon as convenient.
